Ewe Loyalty Foundation supports orphanage

The Ewe Loyalty Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) in the Volta Region, has demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by donating to ‘In My Father’s House Village Orphanage at Abor in the Keta Municipality.
The donation, worth over GHC10,000, included essential items such as bags of rice, gallons cooking oils, boxes of spaghetti and tin tomatoes, assorted drinks, parks of bottled and sachet water, detergents, toiletries, learning materials, as well as clothing and footwear.
Mr Julius Kukubor, the Founder of the Association, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the main objective of the Foundation was to give hope to the less privileged students in the areas, by helping to meet their daily needs, and further ensure the long-term development of the school.
Mr Shine Eric Setor, the General Secretary of the Foundation, explained that uplifting the less privileged was the sole duty of the Organisation and believed that the support was not just an act of charity, but an investment in the future of these children and the country.
He said the Ewe Loyalty Foundation was founded in March 2021 as a Facebook group and was officially registered with the Registrar General Department in October 2023.

“The primary aim of the foundation is to support its members, orphans, prisoners, hospitals, and deprived schools by visiting, making donations, and volunteering in any way possible to help members of the Ewe communities.”
Reverend Father Joseph Rabbi Ozy, the Director of the school, who received the items on behalf of the staff and students, expressed gratitude to the Foundation for their kind gesture, and urged them to extend their donations to all who may need their assistance.
He said the management of the school was happy for the transformative impact of such donations on the well-being and growth of the children, saying the gesture was highly appreciated and would support the school in several ways.
He said the foundation’s donation to Orphanage was just a testament to the commitment to social responsibilities and their efforts would have a significant impact on the lives of the children, and their kindness was a reminder of the importance of giving back to the community.
Some teachers and students who interacted with the GNA expressed excitement over the donations and thanked the donors for the timely intervention which would undoubtedly make a difference in the lives of many children and communities.
They appealed to other philanthropists, corporate organisations, individuals and the government to help alleviate some of the pressing challenges the school faced, which included infrastructure needs.
