The Kings Group of Companies, a furniture manufacturing firm in Takoradi, has donated furniture and cash to some institutions and individuals as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The donation took place at a ceremony to officially open its first ultra-modern furniture shop, Furniture Mall, within the Takoradi Mall in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
In all, 12 institutions from the Western and Central regions received the donations.
They include; Holy Child College of Education, Rapid Deployment Forces (RDF) of the Ghana Police Service in Takoradi, Ghana Prisons Service in Sekondi, Good Shepherd Anglican JHS, Takoradi Technical Institute, and the Opportunities Industrialization Technical Institute.
The rest are Catholic Special Vocation School in Sekondi, Moree D/A Basic School, Police Basic School in Cape Coast, Ghana National Fire Service at Asankragua, All Saints Anglican JHS in Takoradi, and Powerful Jesus Prayer Ministry.
Mr Sylvester Anan-Mensah, General Manager of the company, stated that the company had donated cash, furniture, and educational support to several institutions and individuals, totalling GH¢170,600.00.
Mr Ekow Nkrumah-Bentum, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kings Group, said the Furniture Mall was positioned to offer high-quality and affordable furniture solutions for homes, offices, and hotels.
He announced that the collections ranged from contemporary designs to timeless classics, reflecting sophistication, comfort, and artistic flair.
He urged members of the public to visit the shop for a unique shopping experience that combined luxury and value.
“Today marks a proud milestone in the company’s over 30-year journey in Ghana’s furniture manufacturing and retail industry.
“At Kings Group, we do not just manufacture furniture , we shape lifestyles and set the standard for excellence, and our products are designed to be stylish, functional, durable, and accessible,” Mr. Nkrumah-Bentum said.
Mr Abdul Majeed Dokurgu, the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), commended the CEO of the Kings Group for his humility, innovation, and consistency, which had driven the company’s success over the years.
He further praised the company for its contributions to job creation, human development, and institutional growth, and urged the staff to help propel the company to greater heights.
