Oti Region marks National Day of Prayer/Thanksgiving- prays for peace in Nkwanta

Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, Oti Regional Minister, has passionately appealed for prayers from residents to stem the violence in Nkwanta township and its environs.
He was speaking during the National Day of Thanksgiving held on Tuesday on the theme: “Reflect, Reset and Renew for National Prosperity’.
The ceremony aimed to inspire introspection and collective prayer for the nation’s progress.
Mr Gyapong said through the prayers, Ghanaians were uniting in spiritual reflection, intercession and gratitude for the nation’s peace, stability and shared destiny, as was being observed across all 16 regions’ and 261 districts.
The Minister highlighted the importance of faith, hope and unity in the face of challenges and adversity.
He emphasized the need for respect, unity and real education to overcome the difficulties face by the community, including poor infrastructure, unemployment and developmental degradation.
He also touched on the economic activities of the Oti region community, which is primarily agrarian and the efforts of the government to support agriculture and improve the lives of the people.
Mr Gyapong said the region was set to introduce an initiative, which aims to establish 7,200 hectares of agricultural projects in the area, providing opportunities for young men and women to stay and contribute to the local economy.
