Mr. Nelson Kofi Djabab, Member of Parliament (MP) for Krachi East constituency, has cut-the-sod for the construction of a modern Accident and Emergency Complex at the Dambai Polytechnic.
The project is a collaborative effort with Avmarg Solution and Renes Sanae Foundation.
The new 30-bed facility will feature bed triage and ward surgical units.
The MP said the project aims to provide quality emergency healthcare and trauma care services to the over 110,435 residents of Krachi East.
He reiterated his commitment to improving the healthcare needs of his constituents, stating that the healthcare of his people was dear to his heart and that he was working tirelessly to bring quality health services to their doorstep.
Dr. Mavis Amfo, Medical Superintendent of Dambai Polyclinic, expressed gratitude to the MP for championing the project, which would enhance patient care and support health practitioners.
She also appealed for support from philanthropists and benevolent organizations to upgrade the polyclinic to a full-fledged hospital.
Mr. Eric Awuah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AJ RAMMA CIVILS, contractors of the facility, assured the community that the project would be completed within one year.
He told the Ghana News Agency that the facility would feature advanced equipment, including airway management tools, monitoring and resuscitation equipment, ventilators, defibrillators, stretchers, suction machines, procedure trays for suturing and catheterization.
Mr. Awuah said the equipment would enable healthcare professionals to provide timely and effective medical care to patients, significantly improving healthcare outcomes in the area.
Nana Kwaku Beyennor II, Chief of Dambai, commended the MP for his dedication to improving lives in the constituency and urged him to continue lobbying for more development initiatives.
The construction of the Accident and Emergency Complex marks a significant milestone in improving healthcare services in the area, and the community is hopeful for more development projects to follow.
