Renowned Ghanaian cleric and head pastor of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has received his first-ever movie role nomination at the 2024 Ghana Movie Awards.
The prestigious awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 24, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), where a total of 21 awards will be presented. These awards span categories such as Achievement in Cinematography, Directing, Editing, Costume and Wardrobe, Production Design, and Sound Mixing and Editing.
Additional categories include Best Short Movie, Best Documentary, Best African Collaboration Movie, Best Picture, and the coveted Cameo Actor category.
The Actor in a Leading Role category sees strong competition among nominees like Kwadwo Nkansah (Lilwin), James Gardiner, Adjetey Anang, Anthony Woode, and Jeffery Nortey. Meanwhile, nominees for Actress in a Leading Role include Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, Nana Ama McBrown, Emelia Brobbey, Bless Fortune, and Habiba Sinare.
For Actor in a Supporting Role, nominees include John Dumelo, Kofi Adjorlolo, Van Vicker, Majid Michel, and Clement Bonney (Mr. Beautiful). The Actress in a Supporting Role category features names such as Sonia Ibrahim, Roselyn Ngissah, Sandra Ababio, Christabel Ekeh, Tracy Boakye, Kalsoume Sinare, Maame Ofosuah Anim, Sika Dzuali, and Chichi Neblett.
In the Discovery of the Year category, nominees include Rosemond Brown (Akuapem Poloo), Frank Ntiamoah, Mawena Azumah, Martina Dwamena (Asantewaa), Sherita Adu, Quesh, and Augustina Aboabo.
