Real Madrid have made the full-back positions their top priority to strengthen next summer and Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold is their choice for right-back. Like the England international, Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich seems to want to leave his club for free.
La Cadena SER claims that Alexander-Arnold will not sign a new contract with Liverpool, leaving the way open for Los Blancos to sign the 26-year-old. Real Madrid will offer him a four-year contract, which will put him second on their salary structure, behind Vinicius Junior or Jude Bellingham.
The latter, who is a friend of Alexander-Arnold, told him how good life is in the Spanish capital and they see it as key to the adaptation of the right back. If that is the case, Alexander-Arnold can expect to earn around 10 million euros per season, which is not bad. First-choice right-back Dani Carvajal will be out until at least October next year and will be 33, giving the Liverpool man the chance to establish himself at the position before the Spaniard returns. It will be interesting to watch the battle between the two once both are available.
