John Dumelo pledges “school and work” program to support university students if elected Ayawaso West MP

Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary candidate John Dumelo has proposed a “School and Work” (SAW) program aimed at helping university students work remotely while completing their studies. In a post shared on X on November 13, 2024, Dumelo, an actor-turned-politician, highlighted this initiative as part of his campaign agenda, stating that it would ease the financial burden on students in the constituency.

“When I become Ayawaso West MP, I will initiate the SAW; [the] School And Work program. University students can work remotely for various companies while studying on campus. #idey4u,” Dumelo wrote.

The proposal has sparked mixed reactions online, with some applauding it as a progressive step, while others question its feasibility and practical implementation.
