Kamala Harris tells supporters “we have to accept the results of this election” in first speech since Donald Trump’s victory.
“This is not the time to give up, this is the time to roll up our sleeves,” she said, adding that people may “feel that we are entering a dark period … I hope that is not the case.”
Harris says she called Trump first and told him that she and Joe Biden “will help him and his team with his transition.”
Of the seven key states, Trump won North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan and leads in Nevada and Arizona.
The Republicans also took the Senate from the Democrats
