Rising star Maddy Maznaz accuses Stonebwoy of copying her song in new release with ‘Spice’

Ghanaian dancehall icon Stonebwoy faces backlash after emerging artist Maddy Maznaz publicly accused him of copying her song without consent. Maznaz, known for her unique sound, took to social media to express frustration, alleging that Stonebwoy’s latest track, “Jiggle and Whine,” featuring Jamaican artist Spice, closely mirrors her own unreleased work.

Maznaz claims Stonebwoy’s track contains strikingly similar melodies, rhythms, and lyrics to a song she says she composed months earlier. She further alleged that Stonebwoy might have accessed her original track after she shared it with him, hoping for assistance before she went to the studio, only for him to release a similar version with another artist without her permission.

In a heartfelt post, Maznaz voiced her disappointment: “This song is my creation, I worked hard on it, and to see it presented by another artist, especially someone with such a platform, is heartbreaking. Can you imagine? Hmmm, such a thief just because I’m not famous! Stonebwoy, you can’t act this way and think I won’t notice it, wow,” she wrote.

To support her claims, Maznaz shared clips comparing her original track to Stonebwoy’s version, highlighting the similarities. The videos quickly gained attention online, sparking a heated debate among fans and industry insiders, with some rallying behind Maznaz while others defended Stonebwoy.
