Head Coach for The Black Stars of Ghana, Coach Otto Addo has revealed his squad for the crucial final rounds of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers where the team will face Angola and Niger.
Addo selected a mix of experience and up-and-coming talent in a bid to secure back-to-back wins and a place in the 2025 AFCON tournament to be hosted by Morocco.
The Goalkeepers
Lawrence Ati Zigi (St. Gallen), Abdul Nurudeen (KAS Eupen) and Joseph Wollacott (Crawley Town) will anchor Ghana’s goalkeeping department, providing stability at the back.
The defenders
The defense line contitue of players, such as Alidu Seidu (Rennes) and Tariq Lamptey (Brighton and Hove Albion), as well as young talents such as Jonas Adjetey (FC Basel) and Nathaniel Adjei (Lorient). Issac Afful (FC Samatex 1996), Razak Simpson (Nations FC), Alexander Djiku (Fenerbahce), Jerome Opoku (Istanbul Basaksehir) and Gideon Mensah (Auxerre).
Midfielders
The midfield will be led by Mohammed Kudus (West Ham United), whose creativity will be essential to Ghana’s attacking play. He is supported by Michael Baidoo, Emmanuel Antwi, Elisha Owusu, Abu Francis and Ibrahim Sulemana.
The attackers
The forward line players includes Jordan Ayew (Leicester City), Inaki Williams (Athletic Bilbao), Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth), Ernest Nuamah (Lyon), Issahaku Abdul Fatawu (Leicester City), Ibrahim Osman (Feyenoord), and Joseph Paintsil ( LA Galaxy).
The Black Stars will face Angola on November 15 in Luanda, before hosting Niger on November 18 at the Accra Sports Stadium. Currently ranked third in Group F with two points from four matches, Ghana must win both matches hoping for favorable results in the other matches to secure their AFCON qualification.
