Ghanaian reggae and dancehall musician Stonebwoy has expressed his concerns over the continuous insults directed at him by some of his peers in the music industry. The “Jejereje” hitmaker revealed that he prays daily for guidance on how to respond to the negativity.
“It takes experience to handle every situation,” Stonebwoy shared. “I believe we shouldn’t just accept the insults we sometimes face from other industry players because we’re not meant to endure everything without boundaries.”
He further explained that he relies on “divine discernment” to decide when to speak, stay silent, or respond to criticism. Stonebwoy also acknowledged that his high profile in the industry might be the reason for the ongoing hostility, noting that he even heard fresh insults from another dancehall artist earlier that day.
“As one of the biggest artists in the country, I know this level of criticism comes with the territory,” he added, attributing the negativity to his status as an A-list musician.
