The Running mate for Dr. Bawumia, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has condemned what he described as “indisciplined behavior” displayed by the minority group NDC during the session of Parliament on October 22, 2024.
He prompted the parliamentarians of the NDC that deliberately targeted to provoke the majority in a violent confrontation with them that, Parliament is a place for intellectual debate and not boxing ring.”
We did not give the free for all fight that [the NDC minority group] expected in Parliament last Tuesday. We are disciplined and mature that is why we did not give it to them. Parliament is a place for intellectual debate, not a boxing ring and we understand that.
The New Patriotic Party always prioritizes the peace and stability of this country,” unlike the NDC.
NAPO who has represented the people of Manhyia South, in Parliament for almost 16 years, urged the NDC Parliamentarians to concentrate on their core mandate to implement laws and drive initiatives for constituent welfare.
Dr. Prempeh made these comment when addressing students of the Pantang Nursing and Midwifery Training College.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh highlighted some of the achievements of the NPP government in the health sector, including reinstatement of the Nurses Allowance, which was scrapped by the NDC and the Agenda 111 policy.
NAPO urged the students to continue to have faith in Dr. Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to empower theirs lives.
