Supporters of the founder of Alive Chapel International, Prophet Elisha Salifu Amoako, caused a commotion at the Accra High Court on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, by allegedly assaulting a police officer and a journalist.
A video shared on the X page of GH One TV captured the chaotic scene, showing a group of people engaging in a heated argument. During the altercation, a police officer and another individual were forcefully shoved aside.
The confrontation unfolded as Prophet Amoako and his wife, Mouha, appeared in court over a tragic car accident in East Legon involving their son, which resulted in two fatalities.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty to charges of allowing an unlicensed individual to drive. The court granted them bail, set at GH₵50,000 each, with two sureties required for their release.
