Trump’s Media War: Former President Cancels CNBC Interview

Donald Trump has canceled his planned interview with CNBC, marking the second time in recent weeks he’s backed out of a major network interview. This move comes as Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are increasing their media presence in the final stretch of the campaign.

Trump’s Reasons for Canceling
The Trump campaign cited a scheduling conflict as the reason for canceling the interview. However, Trump has been at odds with major networks, including CBS, over their coverage and editing practices.

Previous Interview Controversies
Trump previously backed out of an interview with CBS News’ “60 Minutes” after the network refused to apologize for comments made about the Hunter Biden laptop controversy. He also declined an invitation from CNN to participate in a second debate with Harris.

Despite canceling some interviews, Trump and Harris have both increased their media exposure in recent weeks. Trump was interviewed by Bloomberg from the Chicago Economic Club, and Fox News will air a pre-taped town hall with him. Harris will appear on Fox News’ Bret Baier and Charlamagne tha God’s “The Breakfast Club”.

Both Trump and Harris are targeting niche audiences through podcast appearances. Harris has been on “The Breakfast Club,” “Call Her Daddy,” and “All the Smoke”. Trump has appeared on “Impaulsive” with Logan Paul and “Full Send” with the “Nelk Boys”. They may also appear on the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast to appeal to male voters.
