Alan Kyerematen Pledges to Fix Ghana’s ‘Bad Road Syndrome’ as President

Presidential candidate Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has unveiled a revolutionary plan to tackle Ghana’s notorious “bad road syndrome.” If elected in the December 7 polls, he vows to implement a mechanism to address the country’s road construction deficit.

Speaking in Amanchia, a community in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Kyerematen shared his vision. After personally experiencing the poor road conditions leading to the town, he’s more determined than ever to bring about change.

Key Components of the Plan

– Equipping Local Construction Companies: Kyerematen’s government will empower two private construction companies in every constituency with necessary machinery.
– Pay-As-You-Work Model: These companies will work and pay later, eliminating the need for upfront funds.
– Decentralized Road Construction: Local authorities will no longer rely on the central government to construct roads; they can initiate projects independently.

By decentralizing road construction and supporting local companies, Kyerematen aims to ensure most roads are constructed within his first term. This innovative approach has the potential to transform Ghana’s infrastructure and alleviate the struggles of communities like Amanchi
