Napo Fires Back at Mahama: “Not All Hands That Pray for You Are Divine

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as Napo, has launched a scathing attack on former President John Dramani Mahama. At the Big Walk event in Bantama constituency last Saturday, Napo stated, “Not all hands that pray for you are divine, some are curse”. This was in response to Mahama’s recent comment that priests, chiefs, and imams praying for Napo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia implied Bawumia wasn’t worthy of those prayers.

Napo pointed out Mahama’s hypocrisy, questioning his integrity and trustworthiness. “Just a week ago, you insulted chiefs and priests for praying for Bawumia and me, and now you’re seeking prayers from them?” Napo asked. “You can’t insult them and later seek their prayers”.

Napo’s comment highlights Mahama’s inconsistent behavior, sparking concerns about his leadership capabilities. “This is why Ghanaians cannot trust such a person to lead them,” Napo emphasized.

As the elections approach, it remains to be seen how Mahama will respond to Napo’s criticisms. Will he address the concerns or continue seeking support from clergy and traditional leaders? Only time will tell.
