NAPO to Chiefs, Imams, Clergy: Don’t Vote for Mahama After Public Insult

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged traditional leaders, imams, and clergy to withhold their support for John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader, in the upcoming elections. This call comes after Mahama allegedly disrespected these influential groups by labeling them as hypocrites for praying for the NPP’s running mate.

Speaking at Offoase in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Prempeh emphasized the NPP’s commitment to humility and respect for traditional leaders, imams, and clergy, contrasting this with the NDC’s alleged disregard. He stressed the importance of leadership that values and respects traditional and religious institutions.

As the NPP’s vice-presidential candidate, Dr. Prempeh has been praised for his exceptional leadership and dedication to Ghana’s development. His remarkable achievements as Minister of Energy and Education demonstrate his ability to drive positive change.

Dr. Prempeh’s appeal highlights the significance of respecting traditional and religious institutions in Ghanaian society. By urging the public to vote for the NPP, he emphasizes the party’s genuine respect for Ghanaians and commitment to their well-being.
