The project, undertaken through the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Program, aims to provide a world-class playing surface for local sports personalities and revolutionize sports infrastructure in the region.

Hon. Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh, Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, and Hon. Ansu Kumi, Municipal Chief Executive, performed the groundbreaking ceremony, marking the commencement of the project. The event was attended by local officials, sports enthusiasts, and community members.

The AstroTurf facility is designed to meet the standards of the Ghana Football Association, providing a top-notch playing surface for local clubs and athletes. The project aims to:
