NDC Urges Parliament to Ensure Electoral Commission’s Transparency

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the Speaker of Parliament and the Minority in Parliament to intervene in addressing discrepancies in the new voter register. Citing numerous mistakes, NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia emphasized the need for accuracy.

The NDC’s concerns center around the Electoral Commission’s (EC) handling of the voter register, potentially compromising the integrity of upcoming elections. The party seeks Parliament’s involvement to ensure the EC takes corrective action.

Following the successful “Enough is Enough” demonstration, Asiedu Nketia reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to peace and transparency. The party has submitted protests and petitions to Parliament and the EC, highlighting ongoing efforts to promote accountability.
