Kumasi Mayor Commissions New 6-Unit Classroom Block

The Mayor of Kumasi, Samuel Pyne, has commissioned a newly constructed 6-unit classroom block at the African Faith Basic School in Santasi-Kegyase.

The facility, funded by the District Assembly Common Fund, marks the first phase of a larger 12-unit project. Pyne announced that the second phase would commence soon, aiming to enhance the school’s academic environment.

The project was initiated in response to an appeal from the Metro Education Directorate. Pyne emphasized the importance of proper maintenance to extend the facility’s lifespan.

At a separate event, the Mayor handed over 900 mono and dual desks to the Metropolitan Education Directorate for distribution to 21 basic schools across the metropolis.

This initiative demonstrates the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly’s commitment to improving education infrastructure and providing essential resources to local schools.

Pyne’s efforts aim to create a conducive learning environment, supporting the academic growth and development of students in the region.
