The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has promised to construct a 12-unit classroom block for the people of Kintampo North if they vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December polls.
Speaking at a campaign event in Kintampo North, Agyapong challenged the local chief to rally his people to vote for the NPP, offering the classroom block as a reward for their support.
“Nana, you have challenged me, and I am challenging you in return: if you vote for the NPP in the December 7 elections, I will personally build a 12-unit classroom block as a reward,” he declared, receiving cheers from the crowd.
Agyapong also highlighted the development brought to Kintampo North under the current government, contrasting it with past administrations. He noted that several natives of the area have been appointed to key positions under the Akufo-Addo government, including the Director-General of Immigration and the Controller-General overseeing Ghana’s monetary reserves.
He criticized the lack of progress during the 32 years of National Democratic Congress (NDC) rule, stating that the only major accomplishment was a deputy ministerial role.
“You have voted for years, and I have personally campaigned here, but you deceived me by not voting for us [NPP]. After all this progress, what more do you want us to do for you?” Agyapong asked the constituents.
