Nsoatreman FC Suffers Home Defeat to CS Constantine

Nsoatreman FC’s hopes of advancing in the 2024-25 CAF Confederation Cup are dwindling after a disappointing 2-0 home loss to CS Constantine at the Accra Sports Stadium. The Ghanaian FA Cup champions struggled to capitalize on early chances, allowing the Algerian club to take control and score two goals in the first 30 minutes.

Coach Yaw Preko’s team showed promise in the early minutes, with Kwabena Adu Meider and Stephen Diyou coming close to scoring. However, CS Constantine’s Zakaria Benchaa punished them with a solo goal in the 10th minute, followed by a long-range strike in the 27th minute.

Despite Nsoatreman FC’s efforts to reduce the deficit in the second half, they were unable to convert numerous goal-scoring opportunities. The team will now face an uphill battle in the reverse leg fixture in Algeria next weekend, needing to overturn the 2-0 deficit to progress to the group stage.
