Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has candidly shared his personal battle with pre-marital challenges, specifically his struggle with fornication. In a heartfelt Instagram post on September 3, the “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker opened up about the guilt he experienced from engaging in sexual activity outside of marriage.
A vocal Christian, Spyro revealed that the internal conflict weighed heavily on him, prompting him to turn to prayer for strength. He described feeling troubled and guilty after each encounter, admitting that his conscience was constantly in turmoil.
“Sex felt good until I could no longer bear the struggle with my conscience,” Spyro wrote. “Every time I fornicated, knowing I wasn’t married to the person, I felt like a part of me was taken away.”
To overcome these temptations, Spyro made the tough decision to cut ties with the women in his life, a move he confessed was difficult. Despite his progress, he acknowledged that resisting temptation remains a challenge, especially while traveling or working with promoters who introduce him to women. However, he affirmed his commitment to staying true to his beliefs, writing, “I am keeping this bed for ONE now.”
