John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has pledged to address the persistent low voltage issues in communities along the eastern corridor by building new electricity substations. During his tour of the Bono East region, Mahama acknowledged that the concentration of substations in the central part of the country has left the eastern region underserved.
Mahama identified Atebubu, Yeji, Bimbilla, and Yendi as areas affected by low voltage issues due to the lack of substations in the eastern corridor. He assured NDC supporters in Atebubu that his government would construct substations to boost voltage levels and stabilize electricity supply.
“When the NDC returns to power, we will establish substations in the eastern corridor to enhance your voltage and ensure more stable electricity,” Mahama promised.
This promise is part of Mahama’s broader commitment to improving infrastructure and addressing the needs of underserved communities. His tour of the Bono East region has included visits to Sene West, Sene East, and Atebubu Amantin constituencies.
