Spanish football giants FC Barcelona have confirmed the signing of 18-year-old midfielder Abdul Aziz Issah from Dreams Football Club on a one-year loan deal. The Ghana Under-20 star will join Barcelona’s B Team, Barça Atletic, and play under head coach Albert Sanchez.
Issah’s move to Barcelona comes after a breakout season with Dreams FC, where he scored four goals in 10 appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup, helping the team reach the semifinals in their debut campaign. He also won the 2022-2023 MTN FA Cup with Dreams FC.
The loan deal includes an option to buy at the end of the contract, which expires on June 30, 2025. Issah joins fellow Ghanaian David Oduro, who recently moved from Accra Lions to Barcelona.
The young midfielder was heavily linked with several top European clubs, including English Premier League side Brentford, before making the move to Barcelona. This transfer marks a significant milestone in Issah’s career, and he is expected to make a significant impact at Barça Atletic.
