Fifi Kwetey, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has emphasized that the party’s manifesto is built on solid principles and truth, rather than unrealistic promises. He made this statement while criticizing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for allegedly mismanaging the robust economy inherited from the NDC.
Kwetey highlighted the achievements of the previous NDC administration, including:
– Two oil fields
– A thriving manufacturing sector
– A strong cocoa sector
He emphasized that the NDC’s policies are anchored on principles, including respect for the people, and are designed to restore the country to its former glory.
Kwetey also took a swipe at the NPP, stating that their approach to politics is based on making unrealistic promises, such as the “one village one dam” policy, which they knew they did not have the capacity to deliver.
In contrast, Kwetey assured that the NDC’s manifesto is focused on delivering achievable promises that will bring hope and positive change to the country.
The NDC manifesto launch was attended by top party officials, including:
– Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin
– Running mate, Prof. Naana Opoku-Agyemang
– National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah
Kwetey’s statement sets the tone for the NDC’s election campaign, emphasizing the party’s commitment to truth, principles, and achievable promises.
