Mr. Fred Effah-Yeboah, Director of Administration at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) and former National President of the Association of Health Services Administrators of Ghana (AHSAG), has made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to put aside political differences and support the government in providing essential logistics for quality healthcare delivery.
Speaking during a donation ceremony at the Buoryem Health Center in the Techiman North District of Bono East Region, Mr. Effah-Yeboah emphasized that many lives could be saved if certain health supplies were readily available. He acknowledged that the government alone cannot provide all the necessary infrastructure, equipment, and logistics, and therefore urged corporate bodies, groups, associations, philanthropists, and well-meaning individuals to regularly support health facilities.
Mr. Effah-Yeboah, who is also the Twafo Hene of Buoryem with the stool name Nana Osei Yeboah Asuamah, donated a range of medical supplies worth several thousands of Ghana Cedis to the Buoryem Health Center. The items included disposable syringes, sterile gloves, EDTA tubes, cotton wool, Parazone, liquid soap, tissue and toilet rolls, examination gloves, disposable needles, hand sanitizer, gauze roll, and bin liners.
The Chief of Buoryem, Daasebre Kwarteng Amaniampong, and the Oyoko Hene of Techiman Traditional Council, received the items and handed them over to the Health Center, cautioning the staff to utilize them effectively for the benefit of their patients.
Mr. Abdul Jalil Halid, the Physician Assistant in charge of the Buoryem Health Center, expressed gratitude to Mr. Effah-Yeboah for the timely donation and called for further support to the facility.
