The Planting for Food and Jobs program has reached 583 farmers in the Afigya Kwabre North district, providing them with free fertilizer to enhance food security and farmer resilience. Women from selected communities in the area make up the majority of beneficiaries.
Deputy Minister for Energy and Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre North Constituency, Hon. Collins Adomako Mensah, emphasized the impact of the initiative on smallholder farmers, saying it will help avert food insecurity in the area.
During the event, Hon. Mensah also donated streetlights to several communities, including Amoako, Boamang, Kyirikrom, and Maase.
Hon. Mensah appealed to the electorate to vote for him and the NPP government in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
