Former President John Dramani Mahama has dismissed the apology offered by Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam for the country’s economic woes, insisting that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, and former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta should be the ones to apologize.
Mahama argues that the new Finance Minister should not be held accountable for the economic mismanagement of the previous administration. Instead, he believes that the President, Vice President, and former Finance Minister, who were instrumental in shaping the country’s economic policies, should take responsibility for the economic crisis.
Speaking during his #Mahama4Change campaign tour in Ho, Volta Region, Mahama questioned the sincerity of the Finance Minister’s apology, stating that the economic challenges facing the country are a result of the President’s and Economic Management Team’s policies.
Mahama emphasized that the apology should come from the top leaders who made decisions that led to the economic hardships, rather than the new Finance Minister who is trying to address the issues. He rejected Dr. Amin Adam’s apology and called for the President, Vice President, and former Finance Minister to take responsibility for their actions.
