Bawumia’s Loss Will Spell Doom for Social Interventions – NAPO Warns

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has issued a stark warning that all social intervention programs implemented by the NPP will collapse if Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia loses the 2024 presidential election.

Speaking at the NPP’s Campaign Working Committee and Women’s Conference in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Prempeh emphasized that only the NPP can safeguard initiatives such as the Free SHS policy, National Health Insurance Scheme, and the Agenda 111 hospital projects.

He cautioned that the main opposition party, NDC, will abolish these interventions if they assume power in the 2024 polls, and urged all party members to unite and actively campaign for the party to ensure the continuation of these vital social programs.

Dr. Prempeh stressed the importance of protecting the NPP’s legacy and ensuring that the party remains in power to maintain and build upon its social interventions, warning that a loss for Bawumia would have severe consequences for the country’s most vulnerable populations.
