Wyllbee Murder Case: Court Remands Alleged Girlfriend and Accomplice in Prison Custody

The Akropong District Court has remanded Nana Adwoa, the alleged girlfriend of underground rapper Wyllbee, and another accused individual into prison custody for two weeks. This decision was made in connection with the ongoing investigation into Wyllbee’s murder, which occurred weeks ago.

During the court hearing, Chief Inspector Ruth Booson, representing the state, requested that the court remand the accused in prison custody to allow for further investigations. The lawyers of the accused raised objections to the prosecutor’s statement, but His Lordship Emmanuel Adu Wiafi and the court ultimately ruled in favor of the remand.

The accused will reappear in court on August 13, 2024. Notably, the state has withdrawn its initial charges against the accused and will file new charges at the next sitting. The court was crowded with individuals eager to witness the proceedings, drawn in by the circumstances surrounding Wyllbee’s death and the widespread media attention it received. The case has garnered significant public interest, with many following the developments closely.
