Komos Innovation Centre (KIC) has embarked on an empowering journey with young minds. A two-day market research tour was organized for participants and students of Ejura Agricultural College and Mechanization Centre, taking them to farms and agriculture industries in Techiman and Gyinase.
The motive? To equip them with innovative solutions that meet the actual needs of the agricultural sector. By engaging with farmers, experts, and industry stakeholders, participants will gain a firsthand understanding of agricultural challenges, solutions, and opportunities.
KIC’s Programs Officer, Mr. Ferdinard Anane-Frimpong, emphasized the importance of inspiring youth, especially young women, to develop solutions for sustainable agriculture and food security. With support and funding from KIC, young entrepreneurs in the agritech industry will receive a confidence boost, motivating others to join the sector.
A participant in the 2024 AgriTech Challenge Classic expressed gratitude to KIC for empowering youth with skills and innovation in agriculture. She urged others to take advantage of this support and join the initiative, highlighting the numerous benefits in the agriculture sector.”
