A group calling its self the concerned mothers of western region has stepped in to apologize on behalf of Napo over what they discribe as an unfortunate comment by Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

The vice presidential candidate of the ruling NPP Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has come under heavy attack by a section of Ghanaians over his comment he made during his official outdooring ceremony to officially introduce him as the running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia

Although Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has written an apology letter to Ghanaians expressing his deepest regret over his comment but his apology is yet to be accepted by Ghanaians.

Yesterday the chiefs and people of Nkroful in the Ellembelle district of the western region called on Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh to come down to Nkroful to render apology to them but the concerned mothers association of the western addressing a press conference today led by Nana Ntwabriwa queen mother of Nhuntomano has called on Ghanaians most especially the chiefs and people the western region to let sleeping dogs lie and accept the apology rendered by Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

She added that Ghanaians loves one another and therefore Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh should be forgiven.

The queen mother again said, she has seen that the youth are angry so the women in the region are pleading on NAPO’s behalf so that the youth will not rise against him.

Some mothers also in an interview added their voice to plead and call for calm as Ghana is a peaceful country.
