The residents of Kessben community under Pokurom Electoral Area in Kwaadaso constituency have today staged a demonstration against their Member of Parliament Hon. Kingsley Nyarko over an abandoned bridge.

They have therefore given the MP for Kwadaso Hon Kingsley Nyarko a one week ultimatum to fix the bridge for them.

According to these demonstrators, the abandoned project was started by the former Member of Parliament for Kwaadaso Hon Dr. S.K Nuama who built the concrete bridge.
But after Mr Kingsley Nyarko took over, he abandoned it.

They said, the most annoying aspect of the issue is that, the only work left to make the bridge motorable is filling which will not require huge money to complete.

One of the demonstrators who spoke with Angel News revealed that, her mother who fell from the bridge as a result of its state can’t walk anymore and has to be in the room.

“We can’t cross the bridge from one side to the other whenever it rains” another residents told us.

“Our business are collapsing because we have to use alternative roads which are not good for our cars”, some of the demonstrators went on to say.

Sharing her ordeal, a parent told us that, her daughter fell into the running water during rainfall and was luckily saved but till date she has spend huge sum of money in treating her child.
