Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, has set an ambitious goal of securing 85 percent of votes in the Ashanti Region for the upcoming elections.

During his unveiling in Kumasi on Tuesday, July 9, Dr. Prempeh announced the NPP’s plan to conduct a door-to-door campaign to engage with voters ahead of the general election. Addressing the crowd, he stated, “We want 85 percent in the Ashanti Region.”

He called on party supporters and Ghanaians to “honour President Akufo-Addo and Bawumia by voting massively to win the 2024 elections.”

NPP Flagbearer and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia also spoke at the event, praising Dr. Prempeh as a problem solver, knowledgeable leader, and generational thinker, and expressing his deep respect for him.
